Bangalore: A 35-year-old civil engineer from Hassan district died after he reportedly inhaled the chemical he sprayed to get rid of bedbugs at his home in Jai Maruti Nagar.
The Nandini Layout police recovered the decomposed body of Lathish and sent it for autopsy.
They said he must have died three days ago, but it came to light only Thursday. Lathish was alone at home for the past four days as his wife had gone to her native place.
The police, who recovered an empty insecticide bottle from the house, said Lathish had sprayed the chemical all over the room and had closed all the doors and windows. .
If Latish had approached a professional company –
- Would have sprayed a genuine chemical
- Would have sprayed in appropriate places.
- Would have instructed the house owner to ventilate the house properly after 2-3 hours.
